We just finished releasing the first video of a free three-part webinar series called “Mentoring Digital Kids”.
If you have tweens or teens in your household, or up and coming tweens, I encourage you to check it out. We know the importance of teaching them how to drive a car, we also need to teach them how to be good digital citizens and use mobile technology responsibility.
It is so important for parents to try to understand what their kids are going through online. Many, if not most parents, do not fully understand the pressures and dangers their kids are navigating online.
According to CNN’s “Being 13”, “Even for parents who try to control their children’s social media use, …(there is) a disconnect between what their parents think about their kids’ posts and how their children are feeling. Sixty percent of parents underestimated how lonely, worried and depressed their kids were and 94% underestimated the amount of fighting that happens on social media.”
“Mentoring Digital Kids” will give you the training you need as a parent to help you help your son or daughter become the responsible digital citizen that they need to be.
After watching it, please let us know what you think in the comments section on the webinar page.
